Our Ministries

No matter your stage or season of life, we want you and your family to join us! Your family is always welcome here at HBC!

HBC Kids is a welcoming ministry of Hazelwood Baptist Church designed for children from nursery through 5th grade. Our mission is to partner with families in raising up the next generation to know, love, and follow Jesus Christ. We strive to teach the Gospel in a way that is both engaging and applicable, helping children not only understand biblical truth but also begin to live it out in their everyday lives. Our goal is not simply to teach information, but to instill a strong, lasting Biblical worldview that shapes how children see God, themselves, and the world around them.

On Sundays, we offer age-appropriate environments where kids can learn and grow in a safe, fun, and Christ-centered setting. Pre-K through 5th grade meets at 9:30am, and Pre-K through 3rd grade meets during the 11:00am service. Nursery care is also available during the 11:00am service for our youngest attendees.

Throughout the week, we continue to invest in children and families through Family Night every Wednesday, where HBC Kids provides additional opportunities for discipleship, connection, fun, and spiritual growth. We also host Vacation Bible School and other special events throughout the year, creating memorable experiences that point children to the truth of God’s Word.

At HBC Kids, everything we do is centered on helping children take their next step in faith. We desire to present every child under our care as mature in Christ. We do this through learning the Gospel, growing in Christ, and building a foundation that will last a lifetime.

HBC Students is the student ministry of Hazelwood Baptist Church for 6th through 12th grade, created to help students grow in their faith and develop a strong, lasting relationship with Jesus Christ. Our mission is to partner with families in guiding students through these formative years by teaching the Gospel in a way that is both relevant and applicable to their everyday lives. We aim not only to teach biblical truth, but to help students build a solid Biblical worldview that shapes their identity, decisions, and purpose.

Each week, HBC Students gather on Wednesday nights during Family Night for a time of worship, teaching, small group connection, and a whole lot of fun. These gatherings are designed to be engaging, authentic, and centered on God’s Word, creating space for students to enjoy community, build meaningful friendships, ask honest questions, and grow deeper in their understanding of Scripture. We are intentional about creating an environment where every student feels welcomed and loved, while also being encouraged and challenged to grow in their relationship with Christ.

Beyond our weekly meetings, HBC Students offers monthly events, outreach opportunities, retreats, and mission trips that help students live out their faith in real and meaningful ways. Whether serving the local community or stepping out on mission, students are encouraged to take ownership of their faith and see how God can use them right now.

At HBC Students, our heart is to see students not just attend church, but become disciples of Jesus who are grounded in truth, growing in faith, and ready to impact the world for His glory.

We also have an intentional ministry designed to help men and women grow deeper in their relationship with Christ and be equipped to live out their faith in everyday life. Our mission is to teach and apply the Gospel in a way that is both faithful to Scripture and relevant to the challenges and opportunities adults face. We desire not only to increase biblical knowledge but to cultivate a strong Biblical worldview that shapes how we think, lead, serve, and live.

Each week, we gather for Bible study on Sundays at 9:30am and Wednesdays at 6:00pm, providing consistent opportunities to study God’s Word in a meaningful and engaging way. These times are designed to foster spiritual growth, encourage discussion, and build authentic community as we learn together.

Looking ahead, we are excited about the opportunity to launch small groups in the fall of 2026, creating additional spaces for deeper relationships, accountability, and discipleship throughout the week. Our heart is to see every adult connected, growing, and actively living out their faith as part of the body of Christ.
